Annie Lopez from Downtown Miami

About Annie

Age: In my country it's not polite to ask a lady about her age, but I'll tell you. I'm 28.

What part of Miami (South Florida) are you from?
Downtown Miami.

Describe yourself in five words.
International, exotic, versatile, communicative, risky.

What’s the one thing you think everyone who visits Miami must do or see?
If you are in Miami, you must visit ourAmerican Airlines Arena, home to the legendary Miami Heat. Then you should have a stroll on Lincoln Rd. which finally brings you to the well-known South Beach. Have a swim and don't forget to get familiar with the Cuban cuisine in one of the beach restaurants. Taste yucca, rice with beans (arroz con pollo), baguette cubano, flan, cafe con leche. So yummy! At nighttime, you would probably like to sip mojitos in a local bar like the Clevelander and mingle with the crowd and dance. For the party people, there are tons of nightclubs: Mansion, Dream, Mynt, Mokai, and LIV. Have a blast!

What outfit in your closet best describes your personal style?
A tight-fitting short dress with high knee-length boots. I love this look: its elegant, totally hot and sexy.

What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Without a doubt, my i-phone because I have all the necessary information there. It's my little assistant that contains my documents, pictures, and private info.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
The craziest thing was to come here by myself from Russia and begin a new life alone. I've met lots of new people, got a new job, learned Spanish, got married, and I've recently joined your contest to prove that I have it all and should be called the Ultimate Miami Girl.

If you could spend the night out in Miami with any celebrity who would it be and why?
Enrique Iglesias, just because he is Latino, a hottie, an enigmatic person who sings beautiful romantic songs. PS: I've heard he loves Russian blondes lol.

What social issue is most important to you?
I'm torn between education and healthcare. Healthcare ranks number one for me though. First of all, it needs to be more affordable to all people, regardless of any pre-existing conditions. Healthcare needs to be provided for all children and all elderly. It shouldn't be more expensive for women VS men. Last but not least, it should be easier access to specialist, medicine, and education needed to maintain good health through diet and fitness.

What and how would you contribute to the city of Miami?
I would definitely contribute to Miami's diversity by enhancing its multiculturalism. I would enhance it by embracing Miami's present culture and introducing my own one – Russian. I'd provide bilingual education both English and Spanish, and English and Russian. I can demonstrate how positive it is to be bilingual and bicultural, as well as how everyone can get together, get along and enjoy each person's culture.

What makes Miami girls different from all other girls?
Girls in Miami love sun, beaches, yachts, crazy parties, music, exotic cars, sports. Since its always sunny in Miami, we, Miami girls, love wearing very open sexy outfits, flaunting our sun-kissed well-maintained bodies all year round. This is where bikini bodies come to lie ;) The city's a magnet for the young and the beautiful as it's a hub for some of the world's most elite modeling agencies. That may explain why there's a disproportionate number of tall, tanned, and lean ladies. Clothing is nothing more than a nuisance here under the Miami sun, freeing women to strip down to their skivvies. Miami is a mix of different cultures and nationalities. South Americans, Europeans, American Indians, Asians have mixed together and made the city famous for the vast amount of attractive young ladies with unique looks, but don't think that Miami girls are just about having a good time. As a Miami girl, I work hard, study, work out in the daytime, and hang out with my friends at night. You might wonder when I sleep. Whenever I have a chance, lol. Days and nights have mixed up for most of us. It's not surprising here to see a person partying late at night in the club, and the day after see him again in the same outfit in the bank, for example. LOL What's wrong with that? In the end, 'I'm in Miami Beach'...lalala

If you had a magic wand, what would you change about Miami and why?
I love Miami as it is: its fantastic skyline, its sandy beaches, its beautiful ocean, and royal palms. I wouldn't change anything here. I'd rather build more higher institutions, schools, theaters, and casinos.

Keep up with Annie
